The fabrication and machine shop produce the highest quality and probably has the largest out put in the north-east Caribbean of custom parts. The shop is staffed by qualified tradesmen able to repair, rebuild or manufacture new parts. The machine shop can make most of those no longer available parts or parts needed immediately to enable you to keep chartering or cruising. The staff is fully familiar with special marine applications being sailors and boat owners themselves. We stock the largest inventory of aluminum, stainless steel, bearing bronze, delrin and many more raw materials on the island. We are able to provide services such as but not limited to:
Our welder/ fabricators have years of experience working with a number of different materials. The shop foreman is able to assist in the design and give advice based upon years of experience in both the yachting and industrial fields. We are able to weld stainless steel (316) and duplex stainless, aluminum, copper nickel, phosphorus bronze, ali-bronze, and titanium.
Our machine shop is equipped with 2 vertical mill machines. These machines and the machinists’ that operate them are able to produce custom parts, engraving, decretive pieces, sheaves, shims, and much more from almost any material. We carry a large number of raw materials that we can mill and if we don’t have the material you want or need we can get it in to ensure that you get exactly what you want.
Our machine shop is equipped with 2 lathes, the largest of which is capable of turning material with a 4” diameter. We are able to make fittings with various unique threads, bow rollers, bushings, propeller shafts, and much more. We carry a large amount of raw materials and cutting tools to allow us to accommodate all those tricky and custom jobs.
The machine shop is equipped with a number of large drill presses, a 20 ton hydraulic press, shear cutting machines, hole punch machine, and pipe bending machine, 2 large vertical band saws, and various other specially equipped tools. This allows us to be competitive on price while supplying a high quality product.
We carry the largest quantity, variety and highest quality materials in the north-east Caribbean. All our stainless steel is 316 grade, our aluminum is 5000 and 6000 series. We stock stainless steel plate from 18 gage to ¾” thick, mirror finished stainless tubing in a number of sizes, stainless and ali pipe (sch 40), anodized ali pipe, stainless and ali flat bar and round bar, stainless and ali pipe and tube elbows, and much more. We also stock a large quantity of Delrin which is perfect for making sheaves and shims.
